Cassandra
Magrath was born in 1981 and currently resides in Melbourne, Australia.
She
comes from a long line of entertainers in her family. She is the
second youngest of six children.
She
started acting when she was 11 years old and on her first audition got the
part of Zoe in the popular children's series "Ocean Girl".
A guest starring role in "Janus" and a minor role
in the film "Hotel De Love" followed.
She
then was cast as Wayne's sister Charlene in the ABC children's series
"The Wayne Manifesto".
Then
in 1998, the role of Miranda Gibson, Laura Gibson's daughter in "SeaChange"
would gain her the most recognition.
Later
that year, she would also star as Pi in "Crash Zone"
a programme aimed at teens, which focused on a group of teenagers working
at a business testing out the newest computer games on offer.
While
studying for her VCE in 1999, she would reprise her role in
SeaChange. However, in 2000, she reprised both her roles in Crash Zone and
what would be the final series of SeaChange.
In
2001, she delved for the first time into Theatre making her debut in
Melbourne starring in "Bold Girls".
Also
in 2001, she filmed a guest role in "Blue Heelers".
She won the role as a presenter on ABC's new
Digital Youth
Channel (FLY TV), which was launched on November 1, this year.
